Football Updates

If you have not registered for athletics do so here.  This needs to be done ASAP!!!

​Onalaska Football Families,


The first 2 weeks are in the books after tomorrow and they have flown by.  Your sons and daughter have worked extremely hard and we are proud of their efforts so far.  Here are a few reminders and updates about things happening. 

• Scrimmage vs Whitehall, Mondovi, Fall Creek and GET tomorrow at 10:00am at Whitehall.  JV and Varsity will each have 3 opponents of 15 plays offense and 15 plays defense.  Bus leaves at 7:25am.  Players are responsible for food for ride home as we will not be stopping!!!
• Next week practices start at 3:30--- Schedule says 3:00 to ensure no one is late, but they will be from 3:30 to 6:00pm.  
• Varsity in season weight lifting begins next week.  Sunday at 6:00pm OR Monday at 8:00am  Along with Wednesday at 8:00am (if schedule conflict make up time is immediately after practice Wednesday.)
• Thursday August 18th is Team Pot luck at 5:30pm (TIME CHANGE!)  This is one of the athletes most favorite event of the year. Below are dish assignments
  • Freshmen- Desserts
  • Sophomores- Side Dishes
  • Juniors and Seniors- Main Dishes
• Remember, we are looking to feed 80 football players and their families so please help us out by bringing a dish. 
• Friday @ Nekoosa,  Freshmen at 3:30, Varsity at 7:00pm.  We will do lindy's subs on the way home and price will likely be $6.00 a sandwich.  We could use donations of gatorade and snacks for ride home for the team.  Players will be responsible for packing a lunch for trip to eat one way there or after the freshmen game, or bringing money for concessions. 
• I am looking for help sewing name plates onto the backs of black home jerseys.  If you or someone you know can volunteer some time to sew, I would greatly take the help.  We have less than 25 that need to be sewn.

Also if your son still has gold cards/ money out please have him get that back ASAP unless he is still going to sell remaining cards.  Thanks!
